Ingredients

  • 2 lbs skirt or flank steak
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced, or use 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large resealable plastic bag or mixing bowl, add all the ingredients (except the steak). Whisk to combine.
  • Add the steak to the marinade. Toss, making sure each side of the steak is coated in marinade.
  • Seal the bag or cover and marinate in the fridge anywhere from 2-24 hours. Make sure to flip the steak halfway through your marinating time.
  • Remove the meat from the marinade and transfer to a large, clean surface. Pat the steak with paper towels.
  • Season both sides of your steak with salt and pepper and let the steak sit out for about 30 minutes before grilling to your desired doneness.

Notes

You can add cilantro to this marinade for some additional flavor. I just didn't because I am personally not a fan of cilantro.
