A few Scooter’s Coffee drive throughs have been popping up in my area leading me to believe this chain is getting more popular!
Of course, I had to check it out and write a quick article about all the sugar free options Scooter’s Coffee has to offer!
What Sugar Free Flavors Are Available At Scooter’s Coffee?
Scooter’s uses Monin brand syrups. Their sugar free syrup flavors include vanilla, caramel and hazelnut. Scooter’s also has a sugar free mocha sauce.
What Drinks Can Be Made Sugar Free At Scooter’s Coffee?
Drinks that can be made sugar free at Scooter’s Coffee include most hot/iced coffees, lattes, cold brews, Americanos and teas (excluding teas made with matcha).
Scooter’s also offers sugar free energy drinks in their brand SCOOOT! Energy, but you need to order them without any syrup to keep it sugar free.
What Do The Sugar Free Drinks At Scooter’s Coffee Taste Like?
To remain impartial, when I was doing my research, I ordered off the menu and just changed the syrup to sugar free syrup.
I am not sure if it is the ratio of syrup to coffee to milk, but something was a little bit off about my drink. It was just overly sweet and did have a “fake sugar” aftertaste. But I am sure this can be fixed by simply adjusting the amount added to the beverage.
In addition (and this may be TMI) both my husband and I experienced some tummy discomfort shortly after drinking our beverages. I find that out of all the sugar substitutes, sucralose seems to give me the most trouble. But this may not be the case for you!
How Many Shots Are In A Latte At Scooter’s?
A small latte will have two shots of espresso. A medium and large will have three shots of espresso.
What Milk Should I Get With My Sugar Free Drink At Scooter’s Coffee?
Scooter’s Coffee offers a variety of milk including 2%, nonfat, and whole milk. Scooter’s also offers unsweetened oat, almond and coconut milk.
Strictly looking at the sugar content online, oat milk would be your best choice for your beverage as it adds the least amount of sugar to your beverage.
At the same time, if you don’t like oat milk, don’t get it! Customize your beverage how you’d like it!
What Drinks Can NOT Be Made Sugar Free At Scooter’s Coffee?
Drinks that can not be made sugar free include anything with matcha powder, anything with chai syrup, lemonade, blenders and smoothies.
What Is A Galaxy Latte From Scooter’s Coffee?
A Galaxy latte contains espresso, mocha sauce, caramel syrup and vanilla syrup served over ice.
A popular addition to the Galaxy latte is a cold foam on top.
Can I Get A Galaxy Latte Sugar Free?
YES, you can get a Galaxy latte sugar free. You can also get a sugar free cold foam added to your beverage as well.
For a variation of the Galaxy Latte, you can ask for a Galaxy Blender with your choice of milk instead of the ice cream base.
What Is A Turtle Latte?
A turtle latte contains espresso, mocha sauce, caramel syrup and hazelnut syrup served over ice.
Can I Get A Turtle Latte Sugar Free?
YES, you can get a Turtle latte sugar free.
For a variation of the Turtle Latte, you can ask for a Turtle Blender with your choice of milk instead of the ice cream base.
Are Scooter’s Coffee Blender Drinks Sugar Free?
The standard recipe for a Blender drink at Scooter’s uses a low fat ice cream base or heavy cream base, neither of which are sugar free.
Depending on what you order, you can customize your blended beverage to be sugar free.
For example, you won’t be able to get a White Mocha Blender because Scooter’s doesn’t carry sugar free white mocha. You can, however, ask for a sugar free Mocha Blender.
Are The Smoothies Sugar Free?
The fruit smoothies are not sugar free and can not be made sugar free because the fruit smoothie mix that they use comes prepackaged with sugar. The fruit smoothies also use the same bases as the Blender drinks.
While you can’t get the fruit smoothie sugar free, there are ways to lower the total amount of sugar in your beverage.
For example, you can ask to swap out the base with an alternative milk. You can also ask to swap the base with water. On the app, this is known as a “Fruit ‘N Ice”.

Are There Any Food Options For Diabetics At Scooter’s Coffee?
Scooter’s Coffee does have a good variety of food options, especially for a drive-through only coffee chain!
If you’re looking for a low carb food option, I would opt for the omelet bites. Scooter’s offers two flavors: tomato and feta, and bacon and gouda.
Wanting something more filling? You may want to try their breakfast burritos, which come in spicy sausage or bacon. The spicy sausage burrito has 26g of carbs and 15g of protein.

They also offer a bacon ciabatta sandwich that has 28g of carbs and 16g of protein.
Conclusion
I hope this article on sugar free options at Scooter’s Coffee was helpful for you and that you have some new ideas on what to order the next time you find yourself there!
