- Conclusion
TLDR: If your child is a big fan of Peppa Pig OR if you are in the area looking for something to do with small children (and don’t love large theme parks), Peppa Pig World is a nice place to visit. I would NOT pay for premium parking, eat any of the food, or purchase a season pass.
When it was first announced that Peppa Pig World was opening close to our home, my family and I were very excited (despite not being fans of the show). Neither my husband nor myself are fans of theme parks and amusement rides, but it was nice to know something targeted for the age range that my children are currently in would be available so close to us.
My husband decided to purchase season passes for all of us for the year. Given that two out of three of my children are under the age of two, this would be the best time because we only have to pay for the two of us and our oldest.
So, here is my very honest review of Peppa Pig World in DFW as a season pass holder.
Surrounding Hotels
If you’re traveling and looking for places to stay, there are plenty of hotels near Peppa Pig World.
The closest hotel near Peppa Pig World is Candlewood Suites DFW West-Hurst. According to Google Maps, this hotel is three minutes away from Peppa Pig World. It also has a pool, which is the number one question my kids ask me when we stay in hotels haha.
The Parking
Parking is free at Peppa Pig World. There are also spots for expecting moms (though usually taken).
They have recently added a “premium parking” section which is the first two rows of the parking lot. You can choose to park in the premium parking for an additional charge of $30 (according to their website). In addition to parking closer, you also have the ability to go in and out of the park.
Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT pay for this parking. The entire park is small enough that it takes less than 10 minutes to walk from one side of it to another. The same goes for the parking lot. Even if you were to park in the farthest spot, you’ll still be more than fine. The premium parking is just taking advantage of families who don’t know before they go.
Do the free parking, put everything you need for the day in your stroller or wagon, and keep it pushing.
The Hours
When the park first opened, the hours were from 9AM-7PM. Then, it changed from 9AM-6PM. Now it’s 9AM-4PM on weekdays and 9AM-5PM on weekends.
For a family that is traveling into town specifically to go to Peppa Pig World, that might be fine. But given that my husband is a working parent, this is VERY annoying. Our logic behind purchasing season passes was so that we can go after work (from 4-6), so this change in hours effectively takes away our ability to go at all.
I understand the need to save money, but there was no email sent out and no announcement made prior to. It was just something done and we have to be okay with it.
The Decor/Design
The colors in the park are VERY cute. I am a big fan of the pastel color palette that Peppa Pig uses, so I find the park to be inviting.
However, I do think there is a lot of empty space within the park that could have been better utilized. Ideally, I would have loved another ride for children 34 inches and under.
I also think the amount of shade could have been improved upon. With all the open space, there is very little shaded seating/areas in general. This is especially concerning by the splash pad, where the floor can get really hot and kids are walking barefoot. There also aren’t any misting fans.
If you are planning on coming here during the summertime, I would definitely recommend bringing a little portable fan so that your littles don’t get too hot.

Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster
Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster is (in my opinion) the best ride in the park. There isn’t a big drop, but for a kids roller coaster, it is surprisingly fast! I recommend getting a seat in the back if you can because it is significantly faster in the back than the front!
You must 36″ to ride with someone 14 years and older or at least 42″ to ride by yourself.

Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure
For this ride, you hold onto a dinosaur by a lasso and it takes you around a course. The dinosaur bobs up and down and doesn’t go very fast which makes it great for younger kids.
You must be 34″ to ride with someone 14 years and older or at least 47″ to ride by yourself.
Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride
Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride takes you (and your family) up into the sky. At the very top you can get a great view of the park, parking lot, and NRH2O (water park next door).
There is no minimum height requirement but guests less than 51″ must be accompained by someone 14 years and older. A maximum of two adults and two children are allowed in each balloon.

Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride
Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride takes you and your little one around in a boat.
There is no minimum height requirement but guests less than 43″ or less than 4 years old must be accompained by someone 14 years and older. A maximum of one adult and three children are allowed in each boat.
Pirate Island Sand Play
Pirate Island Sand Play is next to Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride and honestly for a sand pit it is pretty clean! There are sand toys like shovels and buckets that your kids can play with as well.

Mr.Bull’s High Striker
This ride is the absolute worst and there is just no way to sugar coat it. The ride itself is just one of those rides where you sit on it and go up and down. But the reason why it’s bad is because of the design.
The ride only allows for one parent to go at a time, and the one parent must sit in either seat #3 or seat #4 depending on the instruction of the team member. This is really odd considering the PROMOTIONAL PICTURE ON THE WEBSITE has two adults sitting on the ride. Here is a picture for reference:

Also, why would you ever design a ride that only one parent can go on at a time? There are so many kids who don’t want to go by themselves, and it ends up slowing the line down exponentially.
At first I thought it had something to do with weight and balancing the ride. But there have been so many times where the people on the left collectively weigh more than the right (and vice versa). So honestly, I am overall very confused.
You must be 36″ to ride with someone 14 years and older or at least 42″ to ride by yourself.
Fun Fair
The Fun Fair is next to Mr.Bull’s High Striker and has games like Hook-A-Duck and Bean Bag Toss. It keeps the smaller kids entertained while the older kids are waiting to ride Mr.Bull’s High Striker.
Muddy Puddles Splash Pad
Outside of the lack of shade, I do really like the splash pad! There are three slides (two for the older kids and one for the younger kids) and fountains/sprinklers for your kids to play with.

Peppa Pig’s Treehouse, Grandpa Pig’s Greenhouse and Rebecca Rabbit’s Playground
Basically just park structures, but Peppa themed. It’s cute and a fun thing for your kids to climb.
George’s Fort and Madame Gazelle’s Nature Trail
Honestly, “play areas” is kind of a stretch. These things are more like decoration.
Mr.Potato’s Showtime Arena
Mr.Potato’s Showtime Arena is where you would go for character Meet and Greets. This is also where you would watch a live show with Charlie, a team member that interacts with the Peppa Pig characters.
All of the Charlies that we have seen (at this point it’s been four different ones for us) have been high energy and great singers. Even though the show is only about 15 minutes long, you can tell the team members are putting in effort to make the show engaging for the kids.
I also like that the area is completely shaded. Even on very hot days, this area never felt hot or uncomfortable to be in.
The Cinema
The Cinema is located next to Miss Rabbit’s Diner. This is an air conditioned room with bean bags, benches, and a projector that shows three Peppa Pig episodes and prompts to entertain the kids.
This room is really nice if you’re looking to cool down/need a break from the activities. I do wish there were more than three episodes that looped, but that is just a minor complaint.

Peppa’s Pedal Bike Tour
This is a covered area with a bike trail and tricycles that your little one can ride. It’s a great place to cool off (lots of fans) while you watch your kids play. We typically end our visits here because it is right next to the bathrooms/entrance.
The Food
Overpriced food is to be expected. Bad, overpriced food is just going to be a no for me. And the pizza at Peppa Pig World is top ten worst pizzas I’ve ever had.
Moms, bring the apple sauce. Bring the water bottes (plastic AND reusable). Bring the sandwiches.
The only thing they really don’t allow in terms of food is if something is packaged from an outside restaurant. For example, there is a Sonic right next to Peppa Pig World. If you were to buy food from Sonic and try to bring it into the park, they would ask you to throw it out. But, if you were to take the sandwich out of the paper and put it in a plastic bag, you’d be fine.
The Staff
For the most part, the staff are…fine. They are friendly enough. There is one employee with glasses and highlights who normally works the pirate boat ride who is amazing.
But they are also very inconsistent. One staff member will say your kid is tall enough to go on a ride, and the next will say they aren’t. One will allow baby carriers on the balloon ride, one won’t. One will say there are free refills for popcorn and another won’t.
The Bathrooms/Facilities
There are bathrooms located right by the entrance and inside Miss Rabbit’s diner. There is also a changing station for babies in the bathroom building by the entrance and changing stalls with a drying station ($5 charge per use) by the splash pad.
In my experience, the bathrooms and changing facilities have always been pretty clean and stocked with toilet paper and soap. I do think that having a bathroom by the splash pad would have been nice, but the bathroom building is close enough that it isn’t too big of an issue.
The changing facilities could use some maintenance on their doors. The locks (at the time that I’m writing this article) do not work on some of the stalls.
The Gift Shop
No Peppa Pig World in DFW review is complete without a review on the gift shop!
The gift shop is actually quite nice! There are a lot of cute items priced reasonably like bowls for $5.99 and pig ears for $5.
There are also items that might be helpful if you forgot to bring them, like sunscreen, towels, and bathing suits.
Annual Pass-Get or Pass?
If it wasn’t already clear from the rest of this article, we will not be renewing our season passes after this year.
Prior to the park changing its hours, we would go anywhere from 2-3 times a week. But because the park is pretty small, the kids are pretty much over it at this point.
We also don’t watch Peppa Pig, so the answer to this is very subjective. If you are a big fan of this show and live locally, you may find it worth it to get a season pass. But personally, I would say it isn’t worth it.

What Time Should I Go To Peppa Pig World?
In my experience, I have found that mornings are a little bit busier at Peppa Pig World than later in the day. They also offer discounted admission after 1PM. So unless you have somewhere to be that day, I would recommend going later.
I would plan to spend 2-3 hours there. The park really isn’t that big so you definitely can get it all done in that amount of time. My recommendation would be to feed the kids lunch, have them nap, and then head over to the park with snacks on hand.
Conclusion
I really hope you found my Peppa Pig World in DFW review enjoyable to read and that it helps you plan your trip better.
I also hope that this review doesn’t come off as overly critical. I, like many other residents in the area, want this park to succeed. But everything management is doing recently just screams “give me your money, I don’t care about you” and it’s really rubbing many people (including myself) the wrong way.
Further Research
If you’re traveling to the area and are staying for a little bit, there are a ton of places that your little one is sure to love that I’ve written about on the blog.
One of those places is The Playscape in Cross City Church. This is a completely free, padded area in Euless, TX (about ten minutes from Peppa Pig World). There is a section for toddlers/younger children and a section for older kids. There is also a library and a coffee shop inside this church. And yes, this church is as big as it sounds. For more information, you can check out my full review here.
Another place I recommend for kids is Bright Side Play in Southlake, TX that is about a 20ish minute drive from Peppa Pig World. Bright Side Play is a padded, interactive play place catered towards children six months to six years. For more information, you can check out my full review here.
