Maybe it’s because I am Asian but when it comes to salad, I usually find myself gravitating towards Asian salad dressings.
And while I love ranch and honey mustard, I sometimes find it a little bit heavy on a salad.
The issue that I always come across is that all of the premade Asian dressings at the supermarkets are either loaded with sugar and salt or they’re so expensive for a little bottle!
Luckily, I have a go to recipe that I am sure you’ll love as well!
How Much Salad Dressing Should I Put On My Salad?
A general serving of salad dressing is around two tablespoons. However, depending on how big your salad is you may need more or less. If you have a large salad, I would suggest starting with two tablespoons and then adjust as needed.
How To Make Easy Low Sugar Asian Salad Dressing
I would elaborate on this more if I could but it really is just a matter of measuring the ingredients, dumping it into a container, shaking it, and pouring it over your salad.
Monkfruit Sweetener Alternatives
Not everyone loves monkfruit sweetener, and I totally understand! It can be tricky sometimes to find a sugar alternative that doesn’t give you a bad aftertaste of fake sugar.
Outside of monkfruit sweetener, I would HIGHLY recommend sugar free honey for this recipe. I’ve used Wholesome Yum’s Zero Sugar Honey Substitute before and actually prefer it over the monkfruit sweetener, but just didn’t include that in the recipe because it’s not as widely available.
I’ve also substituted monkfruit sweetener with xylitol and that worked okay as well!
How To Store Leftovers
Store leftovers in a salad shaker bottle or airtight container.
Use salad dressing within 3-4 days.

Other Variations
This recipe is a really good base because you can add a bunch of different things and adjust it according to your own personal preference.
For example, I really like sour things and I find that citrus compliments this recipe really well. Adding some lemon juice or orange zest makes the salad dressing super refreshing!
I’ve also added grated ginger before and I loved that as well. Ginger is going to give your dressing a little bit of heat and zip!
Conclusion
I love simple recipes that use ingredients you already have in your pantry that can be thrown together in a pinch. I hope you give this easy low sugar Asian salad dressing a try!
