Are you interested in getting your child a kid friendly Starbucks frappuccino but just aren’t sure what to order? If so, keep reading!
In this article, I will break down all of the top kid friendly Starbucks frappuccinos that you can order (menu items and secret menu items) and how to make them lower sugar!
What Size Frappuccino Should I Get For My Child?
I do not believe in demonizing any particular food and like to practice the mentality that all foods can fit in a healthy diet.
That being said, I am also aware that frappuccinos are full of sugar, and I don’t think we should be ordering venti sizes for children. A tall or a small is (in my opinion) the perfect amount for a sweet treat!
How Sweet Should I Make My Kid Friendly Starbucks Frappuccinos?
The frappuccino base is what makes the overall sugar content so high in a frappuccino. While there isn’t an option to remove pumps of the frappuccino base on the app, you can ask your barista in person to reduce the amount. A tall size has two pumps of frappuccino base, while a grande and venti and three and four pumps, respectively.
Keep in mind that your drink will be a little bit chunkier in consistency if you decide to reduce/remove the pumps of the base. This is because the frappuccino base is used to emulsify your beverage and keep all the ingredients blended smoothly.
Personally, I don’t mind my beverage being a bit on the icy side if it means cutting back on sugar. This is why I would recommend all of the beverages on this list to be modified with reduced pumps of frappuccino base.
However, I recognize that some kids may be completely thrown off if you play around with consistency. So make your order personalized to fit you/your children’s individual preferences.
Let’s start the kid friendly Starbucks frappuccinos list with ones that are already on the menu:
1. Vanilla Bean Creme Frappuccino
The Vanilla Bean Creme Frappuccino is exactly what it sounds like: vanilla. Basically, it is drinkable vanilla ice cream.
This frap is going to be the base for a lot of the drinks on this list of kid friendly Starbucks frappuccinos because it is subtle enough to blend with a ton of different flavors.
Dietitian approved modifications: To lower the sugar content of this frap, I would reduce the amount of vanilla bean powder scoops from two to one (for a tall), and remove the whipped cream. You could also change the milk if desired.
2. Strawberry Creme Frappuccino
The vanilla bean frappuccino tastes like vanilla ice cream, and the strawberry creme frappuccino tastes like strawberry ice cream.
Just like the vanilla bean frap, the strawberry creme frap is also going to be the base for a lot of kid friendly Starbucks frappuccinos mentioned in this list.
Dietitian approved modifications: Remove the classic syrup, reduce the amount of strawberry puree to “light”, no whipped cream. You can also change the milk if desired.
3. Chocolate Cookie Crumble Creme Frap
4. Double Chocolaty Chip Creme Frap
The Double Chocolaty Chip Creme Frappuccino is basically an explosion of chocolate in your mouth.
This drink is also a popular base to build upon.
Dietitian approved modifications: Reduce the amount of mocha sauce from two pumps to one, reduce the amount of mocha drizzle to “light”, reduce the amount of frappuccino chips from two scoops to one, and remove whipped cream. You can also change the milk if desired.
5. Caramel Ribbon Crunch Creme Frap
The Caramel Ribbon Crunch Creme Frappuccino is made with caramel syrup and topped with caramel sauce, caramel drizzle, and caramel sugar topping.
Dietitian approved modifications: Reduce the amount of caramel syrup from two pumps to one, reduce the amount of caramel drizzle to “light” or remove it entirely, remove caramel sugar topping and whipped cream. You can also change the milk if desired.
6. Chai Creme Frap
The Chai Creme Frappuccino contains pumps of chai tea and is topped with cinnamon.
*Note: A tall chai creme frappuccino has 20mg of caffeine.
Dietitian approved modifications: There isn’t too much you can do to lower the sugar here except remove whipped cream.
7. White Chocolate Creme Frap
The White Chocolate Creme Frappuccino is a frappuccino with white chocolate mocha sauce.
Dietitian approved modifications: Reduce the amount of white chocolate mocha sauce from two pumps to one, remove whipped cream.
8. Barbie Frap
A Barbie Frap is a vanilla crème frap with vanilla syrup and dragonfruit inclusions (blended in with the beverage).
Dietitian approved modifications: Along with the recommendations under the vanilla creme frap, I would limit the amount of dragonfruit inclusions to just one scoop. I would also opt for the sugar free vanilla syrup.
9. Dragonfruit Shortcake Frap
A Dragonfruit Shortcake Frappuccino is very similar to the Barbie Frap. It is the vanilla bean frap with dragonfruit inclusions blended in and whipped cream on the bottom and top of the cup.
Dietitian approved modifications: Along with the recommendations under the vanilla creme frap, I would limit the amount of dragonfruit inclusions to just one scoop and put whipped cream on either the bottom or top (not both).
10. Cookies and Cream Frap/ Oreo Frap
A Cookies and Cream Frappuccino is a double chocolaty chip frappuccino with white mocha sauce. This drink is also known as an Oreo Frap.
Dietitian approved modifications: In addition to the changes made under the double chocolaty chip frap section, I would limit the amount of white mocha sauce added to just one pump.
11. Cotton Candy Frap
A Cotton Candy Frappuccino is a vanilla bean frappuccino with pumps of raspberry syrup added.
Just a note here that Starbucks is slowly discontinuing their raspberry syrup, so this frap may not be available for too much longer.
Dietitian approved modifications: Along with the modifications under the vanilla bean frap section, I would also limit the amount of raspberry syrup (if available) to just one pump.
12. Cap’n Crunch Frap
A Cap’N Crunch Frappuccino is a strawberry creme frap with one pump each of caramel, hazelnut, and toffee nut syrup topped with frappuccino chips.
Dietitian approved modifications: In addition to all the modifications under the strawberry creme frap, I would keep the amount of caramel, hazelnut and toffee nut syrups to just one pump. I would remove the frappuccino chips from this order because I honestly don’t see the need for it here. And if your store carries the sugar free caramel syrup, I would sub that for the regular caramel syrup.
13. Cinnamon Roll Frap
A Cinnamon Roll Frappuccino is a vanilla bean frap with cinnamon dolce syrup.
Dietitian approved modifications: Along with the modifications under the vanilla bean frap section, I would also limit the amount of cinnamon dolce syrup to just one pump. Some stores also offer sugar free cinnamon dolce syrup. If it is available at your store, I would consider opting for this instead of the regular cinnamon dolce syrup.
14. Butterbeer Frap
The Butterbeer Frappuccino is inspired by the Harry Potter series. It is a vanilla bean creme frap with three pumps each of toffee nut syrup and caramel syrup and topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle.
Dietitian approved modifications: Along with the modifications under the vanilla bean frap section, I would also limit the toffee nut syrup and caramel syrup to just one pump of each, and remove the caramel drizzle. Honestly, the caramel syrup makes the drink caramel-y enough.
15. Ferrero Rocher Frap
A Ferrero Rocher Frappuccino is a double chocolaty chip frap with white chocolate mocha sauce and hazelnut sauce topped with mocha drizzle.
Dietitian approved modifications: In addition to the changes made under the double chocolaty chip frap section, I would limit the amount of white mocha sauce added to just one pump, limit the hazelnut syrup to just one pump, and omit the mocha drizzle.
16. Bubble Gum Frap
A Bubble Gum Frappuccino is a strawberry creme frappuccino with raspberry syrup instead of classic syrup.
Dietitian approved modifications: Remove the classic syrup, reduce the amount of strawberry puree to “light”, keep the amount of raspberry syrup to just one pump, no whipped cream. You can also change the milk if desired.
17. Skittles Frap
A Skittles Frappuccino from Starbucks is a strawberry creme frap with no classic syrup and an add in of vanilla syrup and raspberry syrup.
Dietitian approved modifications: For a lower sugar order, I would remove the classic syrup, reduce the amount of strawberry puree to “light”, add only one pump of raspberry, opt for one pump of sugar free vanilla syrup and remove the whipped cream. You can also change the milk if desired.
18. Chocolate Covered Strawberries Frap
The Chocolate Covered Strawberries Frappuccino is a strawberry creme frappuccino with frappuccino chips.
Dietitian approved modifications: In addition to all the modifications under the strawberry creme frap, I would limit the amount of frappuccino chips added to one scoop.
19. Chunky Monkey Frap
A Chunky Monkey Frappuccino is a vanilla bean frap with a banana, mocha syrup, hazelnut syrup, toffee nut syrup, and caramel and mocha drizzle lined along the cup.
Dietitian approved modifications: In addition to all the modifications under the vanilla bean frap, I would limit the amount of hazelnut, toffee nut, and mocha syrup to just one pump. I would omit the mocha and caramel drizzle as well. Or, you could do the drizzle but omit the syrups.
20. Kit-Kat Frap
The Kit-Kat Frappuccino is a vanilla bean frap with frappuccino chips blended in, mocha drizzle inside the cup. and additional mocha drizzle, cookie crumbles, and/or frappuccino chips on top.
Dietitian approved modifications: In addition to all the modifications under the vanilla bean frap, I would limit the frappuccino chips (one scoop either blended in OR on the top), limit the mocha drizzle (light drizzle either in the cup or on top) and omit the cookie crumbles.
21. Fruity Pebbles Frap
A Fruity Pebbles Frappuccino is a strawberry creme frap with vanilla syrup, raspberry syrup, classic syrup and peach juice. The original secret menu recipe had orange-mango juice, but that has been discontinued.
Dietitian approved modifications: In addition to all the modifications under the strawberry creme frap, I would limit all syrups to one pump, sub the vanilla syrup for sugar free vanilla syrup, and request light peach juice.
22. Pokeball Frap
The Pokeball Frappuccino is a vanilla bean frap with hazelnut syrup, frappuccino chips with strawberry puree on top
Dietitian approved modifications: I would limit all syrups used to just one pump, limit the frappuccino chips to just one scoop, and opt for light strawberry puree.
23. Neapolitan Frap
A Neapolitan Frappuccino is a strawberry creme frap with mocha syrup, vanilla bean powder, and chocolate drizzle on top.
Dietitian approved modifications: In addition to all the modifications under the strawberry creme frap, I would limit the mocha syrup to just one pump, limit the vanilla bean powder to just one scoop, and omit the chocolate drizzle.
24. Strawberry Cheesecake Frap
The Strawberry Cheesecake Frappuccino is a strawberry creme frap with strawberry inclusions and hazelnut syrup added. Toasted cookie crumble topping then goes on the bottom of the cup and the drink is topped off with more strawberry inclusions.
Dietitian approved modifications: In addition to all the modifications under the strawberry creme frap, I would add the strawberry inclusions either into the drink or on top (not both), limit the hazelnut syrup to just one pump, and opt for a light amount of toasted cookie crumble topping.
25. Hostess Cupcake Frap
A Hostess Cupcake Frappuccino is a double chocolaty chip creme frap with vanilla bean powder, brown sugar syrup, and whipped cream in the cup topped with mocha drizzle.
Dietitian approved modifications: In addition to all the modifications under the double chocolaty chip creme frap, I would limit the amount of brown sugar syrup to just one pump, remove the mocha drizzle, and opt for either the whipped cream inside the cup or on the top (not both).
26. Apple Pie Frap
An Apple Pie Frappuccino will have milk and apple juice as the base, two pumps of cinnamon dolce, and two pumps of caramel syrup.
Dietitian approved modifications: I would keep the amount of cinnamon dolce syrup and caramel syrup to just one pump each.
27. Banana Split Frap
A Banana Split Frappuccino is a strawberry creme frap with vanilla bean powder, frappuccino chips, and a banana added in. The drink is then topped with mocha drizzle.
Dietitian approved modifications: To be perfectly honest, I would not order this drink. Modifying your drink can be challenging enough for a barista but to also throw in a banana and make clean up more difficult is excessive. However, if you must order this, I would limit the amount of vanilla bean powder and frappuccino chips to just one scoop, and do light mocha drizzle.
28. Banana Cream Pie Frap
A Banana Cream Pie Frappuccino is a vanilla bean frap with vanilla syrup and hazelnut syrup.
Dietitian approved modifications: Again, if possible, I would opt out of this drink to be courteous to your barista. But, if you really wanted to order it, I would just follow the instructions under the vanilla bean frap section and limit the amount of hazelnut syrup to just one pump. I would also opt for sugar free vanilla syrup.
29. Cake Batter Frappuccino
A Cake Batter Frappuccino is a vanilla bean frap with one pump hazelnut syrup and a cake pop blended into the beverage.
Dietitian approved modifications: To be honest, I wouldn’t recommend ordering this because I think a frap is sweet enough and adding a cake pop would just be overkill. Not to mention that it would be hard on your barista. But if you are adamant about ordering this drink, I would just stick to the modifications I made under the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino section.
Seasonal Kid Friendly Starbucks Frappuccinos
30. Pumpkin Spice Crème
Not to be confused with the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino, the Pumpkin Spice Creme frappuccino is a seasonal favorite without coffee!
Dietitian approved modifications: Limit the amount of pumpkin spice sauce to just one pump.
31. Caramel Brulee Creme Frap
A Caramel Brulee Creme Frappuccino has caramel brulee sauce and crunchy caramel brulee bits on top.

Dietitian approved modifications: Limit the amount of toasted white chocolate mocha sauce to just one pump and omit the holiday sugar sparkles and crispy white pearls (or do light topping).

A Gingerbread Creme Frappuccino has gingerbread syrup and is topped with nutmeg.
Dietitian approved modifications: Limit the amount of gingerbread syrup to just one pump.
35. Peppermint Mocha Creme Frap
The Peppermint Mocha Creme Frappuccino contains peppermint syrup, mocha sauce and is topped with chocolate curls.
Dietitian approved modifications: Limit the amount of peppermint syrup and mocha sauce to just one pump and omit the chocolcate curls (or do light topping)

The Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Creme Frappuccino is an almond milk based frappuccino with sugar cookie-flavored syrup and topped with red and green sprinkles.
Dietitian approved modifications: Limit the amount of sugar cookie-flavored syrup to just one pump and omit the red and green sprinkles (or do light topping).
Bonus: Blended Strawberry Lemonade
So this one technically isn’t a kid friendly Starbucks frappuccinos, but it is a fun blended beverage that kids can have, so I thought it was worth including in this list!
Dietitian approved modifications: Request light lemonade and light strawberry puree. I would also opt for less frappuccino base if you’re okay with an icier drink.
Is The Mocha Frappuccino A Kid Friendly Starbucks Frappuccino?
The Mocha Frappuccino has coffee in it, so I would not consider this a kid friendly Starbucks frappuccino.
A lot of kid friendly Starbucks frappuccinos lists have secret menu items with the mocha frap as the base, but I tried to keep anything with too much caffeine off the list.
Is The Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino A Kid Friendly Starbucks Frappuccino?
The Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino has coffee in it, so I would not recommend this beverage to kids. The caramel ribbon crunch frappuccino has 90mg of caffeine.
I would, however, recommend the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Creme Frappuccino, which is the same thing without coffee.
